GEMI Supply Chain Sustainability Project

GEMI Supply Chain Sustainability Project

We are pleased to announce that GEMI is now launching a new Supply Chain Sustainability (SCS) project, designed to research and promote increased harmonization in supplier sustainability expectations across industry sectors.

The project is being co-led by Dawn Krueger, Sustainability Supply Chain Manager, 3M and Anne-Cecile Remont, Global Purchases Sustainability Leader, Procter & Gamble, and will be managed by sustainability consultant Mary Beth Jordan. Through a 2-phase process, the project is planned to benchmark key SCS efforts and identify opportunities to promote increased harmonization across efforts, while supporting common cross-industry goals.

GEMI will hold a conference call on April 19 to kick-off Phase 1 of the project. GEMI believes this project will be most successful and beneficial to all with participation from a variety of business types, and have opened the opportunity to participate in the effort to a wider set of companies outside the GEMI membership. We welcome additional companies across industries to consider engaging as a project participant. The project tasks, schedule and participation fee ($3,000) are described in the attached document.

We are very pleased to have 3M, Ashland Inc., Becton Dickinson (BD), Carnival Corporation & plc, Charleston Orwig, FedEx, Gannett Fleming, Koch Industries, Merck, Procter & Gamble (P&G), Perdue Farms, Schlumberger, Sealed Air, Smithfield Foods, Tennant Company and Tyson Foods engaged.
